(UNDATED) – Three people were injured in a two vehicle crash over the weekend.

According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Department, 32 year old Jordan Hanifan of Dowagiac was traveling south on Dailey Road just before 9 AM Saturday. Hanifan stopped at the intersection of Pokagon Highway, then entered the intersection but failed to yield to a westbound vehicle driven by 60 year old Theresa Schultz of Fort Wayne.

Hanifan struck Schultz, and the two vehicles were pushed off the roadway.

Jordan Hanifan had to be removed from the vehicle by first responders. He and one of his passenger, 28 year old Samantha Hanifan, were taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital to be treated for their injuries. Two children in the vehicle, 9 year old Lavender Hanifan and 7 year old Alec Hanifan, were not injured.

Schultz was transported to Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital in Dowagiac where she received treatment for injuries sustained in the crash.

Deputies say everyone was wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.

Assisting at the scene were the Cassopolis Fire Department along with Pride Care Ambulance and SMCAS Ambulance.
