(STURGIS) – The Sturgis City Commission received an update on the Splash Pad Project.

During Wednesday’s meeting, City Manager Mike Hughes reminded the Commissioners that they bid the project twice and received no bids either time. Hughes says the design company Sturgis is working with allows for interested companies to download the plans to look them over before submitting a bid.

Hughes says the design company is suggesting doing the Splash Pad project differently than they originally planned. ...... {LISTEN}.

Hughes says if this is the way the City wants to go, it could push the completion of the project until Spring of 2024. Hughes says he will keep the Commission updated on this project as he gets more information.
