(COLDWATER) – The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency is relocating their free COVID-19 testing site.

The CHA is relocating the testing site from the St. Joseph County Community Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services building in Centreville to the agency’s Sturgis location, 1555 E. Chicago Road, beginning Wednesday, August 24. The CHA office is located in the Medical Commons building, on the southwest corner of U.S. 12 and South Franks Avenue.

The Sturgis curbside testing site will operate every Wednesday from 9 AM until 3 PM. Persons needing testing should pull up to the orange cones, remain in your vehicle, and testing staff will come to you. Once you arrive, register for testing by using the QR Code or go online to complete the registration. Click Here. If you are unable to use the QR Code or website, someone from HONU’s staff will assist you with registration at your vehicle.

The Sturgis testing site will be offered in addition to the free COVID-19 testing site held at the agency’s Three Rivers location at 1110 Hill Street, every Friday from 9 AM until 3:30 PM.

CHA Health Officer Rebecca Burns says the CHA continues to monitor the needs of the community and the county transmission level for COVID-19, which is currently high in St. Joseph County. She says they anticipate an increase in cases with the return to school and people closing up their homes in preparation for cooler weather.
