(UNDATED) – There are several proposals that citizens in St. Joseph County will have to cast a vote on during Tuesday’s Primary Election.

Residents of Colon Township will be presented with a renewal millage proposal for the Township Library. The proposal is asking for a renewal of .8826 mills for two years, to provide funding for operating, maintaining, constructing the Colon Township Library and for all other library purposes authorized by law. If approved, the millage would raise approximately $103,000 in the first year.

Constantine residents will have three special assessment proposals to vote on. Each is asking if the Village of Constantine shall have the authority to raise money by special assessment. One of the proposals is for Village-wide fire protection; one is for Village-wide ambulance services and one is for Village-wide police protection.
