Jerry Solis Want To Serve In Michigan House

(THREE RIVERS) – Four individuals are seeking to become the Republican candidate for the newly created 36th District in the Michigan House of Representatives.

Jerry Solis is one of the four candidates whose name will be on the August 2 primary ballot. Solis, a former Three Rivers Police Officer and current pastor, shares why he wanted to run for office. ...... {LISTEN}.

Solis says he prayed about it, and talked with his wife and other trusted advisors before announcing his candidacy.

The other candidates seeking the Republican nomination are current incumbent 59th District Representative Steve Carra; Scott McGraw and Jack Coleman.

The winner will square off against Democrat Roger Williams in the November General Election. Williams is running unopposed in the Democratic Primary.

The 36th Michigan House District consists of all of St. Joseph County and all but five townships in Cass County.
