(ELKHART) – An Elkhart man is dead after crashing his motorcycle.

The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office says 30 year old Elzy Sweeten was driving his motorcycle east on La Rue Street, just west of Shore Avenue at 8 PM Monday. Sweeten veered off the north side of the road, and collided with a pole arm. He was ejected from the bike.

Sweeten was pronounced dead at the scene. The matter is still under investigation.
