(LAGRANGE) – There are some contested local races in today's LaGrange County Primary Election.

On the Republican ballot, incumbent District 1 County Commissioner Terry Martin is being challenged by William Booth.

In the race for the Republican nomination for the County Council District 1 seat, Jeff Campos and Karen Eagleson are vying for their party's endorsement. Running unopposed for the Democratic nomination for the County Council District 1 seat is Tom Swihart.

Current Councilman Charles Ashcraft is not seeking re-election to District 1. Incumbent Councilmen Ryan Riegsecker in District 2, Harold Gingerich in District 3 and James Young in District 4 are running unopposed for the Republican nomination for their seats.

In the race for the Republican nomination to run for a seat as trustee for Clay Township, William Connelly is facing off against Cole Miller.

Polls are open until 6 PM.
