Two People Seeking Dem. Nomination For Indiana House Seat

(LAGRANGE) – Two people are seeking the Democratic nomination to represent District 51 in the Indiana House of Representatives.

Jestin Coler and Michael Travis, both of Angola, are seeking their party's nomination to face off against incumbent Republican Representative Dr. Denny Zent. District 51 is made up of portions of LaGrange and Steuben Counties.

Both Coler and Travis spoke during a Meet The Candidates Forum on April 25, hosted by the LaGrange County Chamber of Commerce. Coler says as he has campaigned around the District, he is hearing the same concerns from its residents. ...... {LISTEN}.

Coler says the State of Indiana should also consider looking into the legalization of cannabis.

Travis, a teacher in the Prairie Heights Schools, says if elected he will do his best to fight for public education. ...... {LISTEN}.

Zent did not attend the Forum. He is running unopposed for the Republican nomination in the Primary Election.
