(MASON TOWNSHIP) – A Northern Indiana man was injured in a two vehicle collision in Southern Michigan.

The Cass County Sheriff's Department was called to Cassopolis Road and Old 205 in Mason Township at 3:44 PM Thursday. Deputies determined that 81 year old Jesse Kelems of Buchanan failed to yield to an approaching vehicle driven by 41 year old Eric Kramer of Elkhart, and the automobiles collided.

Kramer was taken to Elkhart General Hospital to be treated for his injuries. Both drivers were wearing their safety belts, and the airbags in both vehicles were activated.

Assisting deputies were the Edwardsburg Police Department and the Porter Township Fire and Ambulance.
