(CENTREVILLE) – The St. Joseph County Commission is asking for the public's input on how to spend $1 million.

St. Joseph County Administrator Theresa Doehring says the County Commission has decided to allocate the money out of its American Rescue Plan Act funds to support community projects. This one time funding is being provided by the federal government to address health and economic impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Doehring says an online survey has been created to understand the priorities of county residents and business owners for allocating these funds. The information gathered will inform development of an application process for local governments and nonprofits seeking funding support.

The application process for ARPA funds will be determined and communicated to
the public by the County at a future date.

Doehring says the survey is available on the County's website. Click Here.

The survey will be open until May 20. St. Joseph County leadership encourages residents and business owners to take the survey and share the survey link with others.
