(STURGIS TOWNSHIP) – A police pursuit ended in St. Joseph County with the arrest of a 29 year old Indiana man.

Sheriff Mark Lillywhite says his office attempted to stop a vehicle Tuesday that was driving on Stubey Road in Sherman Township, but the suspect fled from officers. Police located the suspect near the Sturgis Airport and the pursuit resumed.

Sturgis Police along with the LaGrange Police Department joined in the chase, which went into Sturgis Township, where the suspect crashed his vehicle near Fawn River and South Nottawa Roads.

The suspect was arrested and lodged in the St. Joseph County Jail on several weapon and narcotic charges. His name is behind withheld, pending his arraignment.
