(NEWBURG TOWNSHIP) – One person was injured in a one vehicle crash in Cass County's Newburg Township.

Sheriff Richard Behnke says his deputies were called at 9:30 Monday morning for a crash on Bair Lake Street, east of Cory Lake Road. 41 year old Lindsey Whitaker of Jones was traveling east on Bair Lake Street when she lost control of her vehicle and went off the roadway, striking a tree.

Whitaker was treated at the scene and then taken to Bronson Lakeview Hospital. She was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Assisting at the scene were the Newburg Fire and Ambulance.
