Honeysett Signs Two Year Contract With Constantine

(CONSTANTINE) – Mark Honeysett has a new two year contract to remain the Constantine Village Manager.

During Monday's meeting, the Constantine Village Council approved a new two year contract for Honeysett to continue in his role as the Village Manager. Honeysett was originally hired in 2004 to be the Constantine Police Chief, and two years later, was also given the duties of Village Manager.

Honeysett served in both positions until Jim Bedell was hired as Police Chief in 2009, but took over the Police Chief duties again in 2014 when Bedell retired. In September 2021, Dan Thayer was hired to be the Constantine Police Chief.

Honeysett says he is happy to receive this new contract. He also says there are some projects that the Village will be taking on that he is anxious to see completed. ...... {LISTEN}.

Honeysett says getting the wastewater treatment plant up and operating is another matter that he wants to see completed.

Honeysett's contract will pay him an annual salary of $88,434.
