Suspect Arrested In Centreville Dollar General Break In

(CENTREVILLE) – A suspect is in custody for breaking into a Centreville business.

St. Joseph County Sheriff Mark Lillywhite says as 12:59 Tuesday morning, his deputies responded to an alarm activation at the Dollar General Store in Centreville. When they arrived, deputies discovered the glass on the front door had been shattered.

A search of the building was done with the help of a Michigan State Police K-9 Officer. Police located an 18 year old, who admitted to breaking into the store to get beer.

Lillywhite says they will be requesting charges of breaking and entering, and minor in possession of alcohol against the individual.
