(NAPPANEE) – A two vehicle collision injured two people just east of Nappanee over the weekend.

The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office says at 11 AM Sunday, 60 year old Scott Ness of New Carlisle was driving west on County Road 46, east of County Road 13. A second vehicle, driven by 16 year old Aaliyah Bonner of Goshen was heading north on County Road 13.

Investigators say Bonner stopped at the intersection of County Road 46, but failed to yield the right of way and collided with Ness’ vehicle.

Ness had some minor bleeding from his hand but refused to be transported to a hospital. Bonner complained of head pain and was taken to Goshen Hospital. She was also given a citation for failure to yield causing bodily injury.
