(DUNLAP, IN) – A two vehicle collision sent three people to the hospital.

According to the Elkhart County Sheriff's Office, 61 year old Richard Esmont of Mishawaka was driving south on County Road 13 and was approaching the intersection of Sunnyside Avenue just before 10:30 AM Friday. As Esmont entered the intersection, he collided with a vehicle traveling east on Sunnyside Avenue, driven by 20 year old Andrea Igot of Elkhart, who failed to yield the right of way.

Esmont and his two passengers were all taken to Elkhart General Hospital. Esmont complained of lower back pain. 28 year old Taylor Mahan of Mishawaka had leg, back and hand pain. 2 month old Christine Mahan had difficulty breathing.

Igot had no injuries, but she was given a citation for failure to yield causing bodily injury.
