(QUINCY) – Multiple charges have been brought against a Quincy woman.

Branch County District Court officials say 39 year old Jennifer Smith is charged with possession of meth, being a prisoner in possession of contraband, and for failure to appear.

Coldwater Police arrested Smith Wednesday after they noticed her sleeping in a vehicle outside of a business that was closed. The officer recognized Smith and knew there were warrants issued for her arrest.

While questioning Smith, offices found ten grams of meth, two digital scales and three syringes. As she was being processed at the Branch County Jail, Smith gave more suspected meth and two more syringes to officials.

During her arraignment, Smith plead not guilty to the charges. Her bond was set at $20,000. She is scheduled to have a preliminary examination on April 6.
