(STURGIS) – A long time Sturgis City Commissioner has stepped down.

During Wednesday's meeting the Commission accepted the immediate resignation of 4th Precinct Commissioner Karl Littman, who submitted his letter of resignation to City Manager Mike Hughes.

Littman was first elected to the City Commission in 2001.

If the resignation takes place within the last six months of a Commissioner's term, no replacement will be sought.
