(LAGRANGE COUNTY) – A traffic stop led to a woman being arrested.

The LaGrange County Sheriff's Office says deputies were patrolling in the area of County Road 905 West and 770 North on Thursday, when they observed a small car pulling into the driveway of a home. Deputies knew this house was uninhibited and the location of multiple thefts and vandalism complaints

Based on this, the officers conducted an investigative stop, and discovered a passenger, 32 year old Mandy Jarvis of Bristol, had multiple warrants for her arrest. She was detained and a LaGrange Police Department K-9 officer was called in to do a free air sniff. After a positive alert, a search was done and a small amount of methamphetamine was located.

Jarvis was taken to the LaGrange County Jail on her warrants and for possession of meth. But when she arrived at the jail, Jarvis admitted to having meth hidden on her person. She removed a large bag of a suspected drug, which field tested positive and weighed approximately 20 grams.

Jarvis is charged with possession of meth and three outstanding warrants, each one from a different county.

A report has been sent to the LaGrange County Prosecutor's Office.
