(NAPPANEE) – A Nappanee woman received minor injuries in a two vehicle collision.

The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office say 30 year old Alexander Coleman of Akron, Indiana was heading north on State Road 19 and turning into a driveway at 69507 State Road 19 just after 3:30 Friday afternoon. A second vehicle, driven by 30 year old Ashley Reed was right behind Coleman.

Deputies say Reed was distracted by looking at a soybean field, and didn't notice Coleman had stopped, and struck the rear of his vehicle. Both automobiles had heavy damages from the collision.

Reed was taken to Elkhart General Hospital complaining of minor neck and chest pain. A small child in Reed's vehicle was not injured and Coleman also escaped injury in the collision.

Reed was given a ticket for following too close.
