(STURGIS) – The City of Sturgis is postponing their fireworks show that was supposed be happening this weekend.

Originally, the City of Sturgis scheduled to have fireworks Saturday night as part of the 2021 Sturgis Fest celebration. When the festival got moved to August by the Sturgis Area Chamber of Commerce, the City decided to keep the event on Saturday.

However, with the forecast calling for showers and thunderstorms on Saturday, City officials decided to postpone the fireworks, and move them to August 21, which is the last day of Sturgis Fest.
