(PORTER TOWNSHIP) – An Indiana woman was injured in a Cass County crash.

Sheriff's deputies say 26 year old Aaron Russell of Elkhart was
driving south on M-217 just before 5 PM Friday. A second vehicle, driven by 22 year old Ashanti Knight of Elkhart, was driving east on Wayne Street and approached the intersection of M-217. Knight entered the intersection and the vehicles collided.

Knight was taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital to be treated for her injuries. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts, and the airbags deployed in the automobiles.

Deputies were assisted by the SEPSA Fire and Ambulance Company.
The crash remains under investigation.
