LIGONIER – West Noble's Tara Miller and Riley Kruger have been doubles partners in tennis since their freshman year. The pair graduated last Sunday but have unfinished business in their high school careers. Tomorrow they’ll compete in the IHSAA individual doubles state championship in Indianapolis. Six other teams are competing for the same title. Miller and Kruger face a team of sophomores from Evansville Memorial.

LAGRANGE – Lakeland High School held its Spring Sports recognition program Tuesday evening. Brian Bergman was named Male Athlete of the Year. Bergman competed in football, wrestling and track. Bailey Hartsough was the Female Athlete of the Year after competing in golf, volleyball, basketball and softball. Girls soccer coach Hugh Robertson was named Coach of the Year.
