The White Sox injury report before the game yesterday was crazy. Nate Jones underwent surgery Monday for a flexor mass tear. He is out for the remainder of the season. Carlos Rodón will undergo Tommy John surgery later this week. The timing of his return will be subject to his scheduled surgery date, but Rick Hahn expects him to be ready by the second half of the 2020 season. Micker Adolfo will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his elbow. He is expected to be ready for the 2020 season.

The college basketball world was stunned on Monday morning when ESPN broke the news that the Cleveland Cavaliers had hired Michigan's John Beilein as their next head coach. Under Beilein, Michigan was one of the most consistently successful programs in the country. The Wolverines finished as national runners-up in 2013 and 2018 but also reached the Sweet 16 in 2017 and 2019 and made an Elite Eight appearance in 2014.
