Clemson is your college football national champion. The Tigers ripped Alabama 44-to-16 in last night’s title game.

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney says when he first joined Clemson, he wanted to make it a model program.

Alabama head coach Nick Saban says he knows his players prepared well for the game, but their execution was lacking.

No Saban team at Alabama, in 166 games, had trailed by more than 20 points. Clemson led by 28 late in the third quarter and delivered the ultimate insult of a 10-minute, non-scoring drive to end the game.

The Northeast Corner Conference boys and girls basketball tournaments begin tonight with four games on tap. Boys favorite Westview travels to Eastside, Fairfield visits Angola, Garrett travels to Churubusco, and Central Noble is at Hamilton.

Thunder Country 105.5 will broadcast tonight’s Westview at Eastside game. WLKI 100.3 will broadcast the Fairfield at Angola matchup. First round action continues on Wednesday night with West Noble visiting Lakeland on Thunder Country, and Fremont at Prairie Heights on WLKI.
