Wednesday morning sports

EMMA – Westview High School honored spring athletes on Monday evening.

Megan Schrock and Hayley Courtney shared the most valuable player award for softball. Adrianna Wilson was most improved. Courtney was all-conference along with Tori Antal and Schrock.

In baseball Jason Brandenberger and Nick Rensberger shared the MVP award. Brett Byrkett was most improved. Matthew Jones and Hunter Schumacher were all-conference.

In girls track Aleka Ernsberger was MVP. Nichole Moran was most improved, and Ernsberger was all-conference and won sectional and regional championships and finished 8th at the state meet last week.

In boys track matthew Yoder and Dylan Nowicki were MVPs. John Kelly was most improved. The team finished 12th at the state meet last Saturday.

In girls tennis, Serenity Corlett and Madison Kresse were MVPs. Kelby Christner was most improved. Corlette, Kresse and Lauryn Riegsecker were all-conference.

And in boys golf Carter Giggy was MVP. Brian Titus most improved. Giggy and Titus were all-conference and qualified for regional.
