Monday morning sports

Two Westview Warriors took home medals at the boys track state finals on Saturday. Richmond Stoltzfus finished sixth in the 1600 meter. Matthew Yoder was sixth in the 3200 meter with a personal best of 9:16.79.
Westview’s 4 by 800 meter relay team of Spencer Carpenter, Dylan Nowicki, Matthew Yoder, and Anthony Schwartz placed fourth.
Westview finished 12th in the team standings.
Tanner Sallee of Northridge was seventh in the 800 meter run.
DeKalb’s Isaac Brown placed sixth in the high jump. East Noble’s Gage Ernsberger was 17th and Alain Pflammeter 20th.
Churubusco’s Sam Wood was seventh in the pole vault. East Noble’s Joe Painter was 19th.

Fremont advanced to the A regional championship game by beating Morgan Township 4-0. The Eagles lost the title game to Northfield 3-2.
NorthWood fell to Jay County 10-5 in the 3A regional.

Golden State went on to win, 122-103, and took a two games to none lead in the NBA finals.
