Fairfield 4, Westview 1 (creates a virtual 4-way tie atop the NECC standings with Lakeland, Angola. The Lakers could win the title outright by winning their last three conference games.)

HS GIRLS TENNIS:
Fairfield won the rain-delayed NECC Tournament.
The Falcons’ Morgan Mast won #1 singles, Sidney Hochstetler won #2 singles, and Riley Miller & Madeline Gawthorp won at #2 doubles for a total of 55 points. Westview was second with 45, Central Noble third with 34, Angola fourth with 30, Lakeland was seventh.

West Noble Sectional pairings announced Monday. Lakeland meets Westview in the opener, West Noble faces Central Noble, and East Noble meets the winner of Lakeland-Westview.

HS BOYS GOLF:

NBA PLAYOFFS:
Golden State 119, Houston 106 (Warriors lead 1-0)
The Warriors went on to beat the Rockets 119-106 for a 1-0 series lead in the Western Conference Finals.

NHL PLAYOFFS:
Vegas 3, Winnipeg 1 (series tied 1-1)
Head coach Gerard Gallant says his team knew they needed to improve their play against a tough Winnipeg team, and they did just that in this game.

MLB:
Atlanta 6, Cubs 5 Jose Bautista hits a three-run home run, giving the Braves a 6-4 lead over the Chicago Cubs in the fifth. Atlanta went on to win, 6-5.
Detroit 6, Cleveland 3 Niko Goodrum hits a 3-run home run -- his second home run of the night -- to give the Tigers a 6-2 lead over the Indians. The Tigers went on to beat the Indians 6-3.
