Wawasee 3, Lakeland 1 – Lakers fell at home despite outhitting the Warriors 7 to 3. Keirsten Roose and Kylee Palmer each had two hits.

HS BASEBALL:
Lakeland 7, SB Adams 4 – a double by Kole Miller in the top of the seventh broke a 4-4 tie and powered the Lakers to the win. Miles Mast pitched 3 innings in relief to get the win in Lakeland’s season opener.
NorthWood 13, Westview 0 5 innings – a pair of singles by Jones and Brandenberger were the only Warrior hits against NorthWood.

NEW CASTLE – Indiana’s Hall of Fame Classic will include Westview. The Warriors will play Center Grove at 11 a-m on Saturday, December 29th at the New Castle Fieldhouse. It will be Westview’s second appearance in the Classic where they were runner up to eventual 4A champion Marion. They’ll face another 4-A team in Center Grove which features a Mr. Basketball candidate in 6-foot-9 Trayce Jackson-Davis.
Valparaiso faces Warren Central in the other boys game.

NCAAW:
Notre Dame 84, Oregon 74 – Kathryn Westbeld scored 20 points, Jessica Shepard added 18 and Notre Dame reached the Final Four for the eighth time in school history by defeating Oregon 84-74 on Monday night.
