LAGRANGE – Brian Jordan will lead the Lakeland Laker volleyball program this fall. He has coached at various levels in club volleyball, and was a junior varsity coach at Lakeland.

Central Noble’s softball game vs Bishop Luers tonight has been postponed due to cold weather.

Central Noble’s Sydney Freeman and DeKalb’s Leigha Brown are on the Coaches Association all-state basketball team. The Cougars’ Meleah Leatherman was a third team all-state selection.

Detorit 115, Phoenix 88 – Blake Griffin's block leads to a Stanley Johnson's dunk extends the Pistons' lead to 71-51 over the Phoenix Suns. Detroit went on to win the game 115-88.

Houston 115, Portland 111 – Rockets snapped the Portland Trail Blazers 13-game winning streak in a 115-111 victory behind 42 points from James Harden. After the game, Harden said he's always looking to improve his play.

PBP: Red Wings 4-4/Nielsen SO Goal (F6162) – Frans Nielsen's shootout goal gives the Red Wings a 1-0 shootout lead over the Philadelphia Flyers. Detroit went on to win the shootout 1-0 and the game 5-4.
