Sturgis girls golf team beats Three Rivers is season opener

(STURGIS) – The Sturgis varsity girls golf team started the 2022 season by defending the annual County Cup Match Play event, beating Three Rivers 5-0. Sturgis’ Maddy Webb defeated Laynie Zabonick 5 & 2. Teammate Citori Kosmerick beat Lily Zabonick 3 & 2, while Aspen Hyska defeated Mariah Powell 5 & 4; Hannah Falkenstein beat Taylor Gowan 5 & 4 and Mia Martinez defeated Maggie Gose 5 & 4.
