By: Mike Stiles - Monday, June 22, 2020

(ANN ARBOR) – Michigan football has snapped up four-star defensive end Quintin Somerville, who announced his commitment Saturday on Twitter. The prospect from Saguaro High School in Scottsville, Arizona, is ranked No. 150 overall in the country in the 2021 class, and is the fourth four-star defensive player to commit to the Wolverines in the past three weeks. His Twitter announcement was a combination of emotional thanks to his family and his high school coach and teammates, accompanied by film clips and photos. It ends with Somerville tapping out "Hail to the Victors" on a grand piano, which segues into the marching band version, and then morphing into rap. Somerville, 6-foot-3 and 230 pounds, had 68 tackles, 29 for loss, and 7½ sacks last season. High school teammate and wide receiver Denzel Burke has committed to Ohio State. Michigan now has 18 commitments in the 2021 class.
