CLEVELAND – The National League drought in the All-Star game continued in Cleveland last night. The American League stars held on for a 4-3 victory.

Cleveland Indians pitcher Shane Bieber became just the third player to win the most value player award in his home park. He says he mixed up his pitches during his pitching stint when he struck out the side.

In a season with a record home run pace just two long balls were launched. Joey Gallo hits a solo HR to give the American League a 4-1 lead over the National League.

Colorado’s Charlie Blackmon homered in the sixth inning to give the National League their first run.
