MLB:
Pittsburgh 18, Cubs 5 – The Pirates’ Josh Bell drove in more runs by himself than the Cubs scored as a team. Bell hit 3 home runs in an 18-5 flogging of the Cubs.

Milwaukee 8, Cincinnati 6 – Brewers moved a game ahead of the Cubs in the standings. Christian Yelich hits a home run, scoring Yasmani Grandal for an 8-5 lead over the Reds. The Brewers went on to beat the Reds 8-6.

The Angels announced pitcher Tyler Skaggs passed away Monday. Their game against Texas was canceled. Rangers General Manager Jon Daniels says the Rangers were more than willing to call the game off once they heard the news.


15 year old Cori Gauff beat Venus Williams in the opening round of Wimbledon 6-4, 6-4. Gauff became the youngest women's winner at Wimbledon since 1991. Gauff says she tried to act like this was a normal match.
