HOWE – It wasn’t the kind of trick or treat they were expecting.
Residents of a LaGrange County home along State Road 120 woke to the sound of a semi hitting their residence this morning around 3:38 a-m.
LaGrange County property records indicate the home is owned by Allen and Theresa Miller.
Police say 25-year-old Rahkeem Thompson of Radcliffe, Iowa was driving the semi west and left the road, crossing County Road 375 East before hitting a tree. That impact split the semi trailer in half with the truck striking the south side of the home and a detached garage.
Miraculously no one in the home or the semi was injured.
Lagrange and Indiana State Police along with Howe firefighters assisted deputies at the scene.
