Lagrange woman arrested on drug charges

LAGRANGE COUNTY – A traffic stop on the Toll Road led to drug charges for a Lagrange woman early Thursday.
Trooper Zarek Finley stopped a vehicle for several violations around 12:30 a-m near the 118 mile marker. He smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A search turned up some suspected marijuana along with paraphernalia.
The driver – 31-year-old Marissa Nicole Byers – was taken to the the Lagrange County Jail. During the booking process officers found methamphetamine in her possession.
Byers faces preliminary charges of possession and dealing of methamphetamine, maintaining a common nuisance and obstruction of justice, possession of marijuana with a prior conviction, and possession of paraphernalia.
