LAGRANGE – Maple Wood Nature Center is the place to be this weekend.
The annual Maple Syrup Days festival is Saturday and Sunday and offers all the pancakes and sausage you can eat.
Pancakes are served from 7 a-m to 2:30 p-m both days.
Horse drawn wagon tours of the sugar bush run from 8 until 3.
You’ll see maple syrup being made in an old fashioned kettle boiler. There’s also a demonstration of how you can boil sap yourself as a hobbyist.
Games and a puppet show for the kids are also part of the weekend.
The event is put on annually by the LaGrange County Parks and Recreation Department with help from the South Milford Lions Club.
Dress warm enough so you can enjoy the outdoors.
Maple Wood Nature Center is on County Road 100 South just east of County Road 400 East near Lagrange.
