LAGRANGE – Light snow early this morning caused slippery roads and school closings in Northeast Indiana.
Lakeland and Prairie Heights canceled classes for the day along with all districts in Noble, Steuben and DeKalb Counties. Westview Schools had a two hour delay.
Indiana State Police worked a crash that closed U-S 33 at Noble County Road 50 South near Wolf Lake. Both lanes closed around 11 a-m. They re-opened shortly after 12 p-m.
Earlier in the morning Noble County deputies worked a rollover crash with injuries on County Road 1200 North near 150 West.
A crash on the U-S 20 bypass at County Road 17 sent an Elkhart woman and an infant to Elkhart General Hospital. Their injuries were not believed to be serious.
A winter weather advisory remains in effect until 11 p-m for Elkhart, Cass and St. Joseph County Michigan, and until 5 a-m Tuesday for the rest of the Thunder Country listening area.
2-4 inches of snow are expected before the system moves east.
