Indiana unemployment now at 3.6%

INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana’s unemployment rate was up by just one-tenth of a percent in March, at 3.6%.

The state’s labor force increased by almost 68-hundred during the month, with 4,135 more employed, and 2,634 more unemployed.

Gains were in the Professional and Business Services (1,200), the Leisure and Hospitality (1,100) and the Financial Activities (1,000) sectors. They were partially offset by a loss in the Other (-300), which includes Mining and Logging, IT and Other Services,

Jobless rates for Indiana counties are due out Monday.
