SHERWOOD TOWNSHIP – More information has been released about a Sherwood Township crash.
According to the Branch County Sheriff's Department, 42 year old Andrew Moser of Battle Creek reported the accident at 5:40 AM Thursday on Dunks Road and Division Road by texting 911 from his cell phone. Branch County Central Dispatch got his location and was able to send authorities.
Moser said he was a passenger in a car and was not able to get out. He also said the driver had left the area.
Investigators say that Moser was not trapped inside the automobile and was able to get out under his own power. Deputies also say Moser was the driver of the vehicle. He failed to yield at a T intersection, crossing Dunks Road and striking several trees before stopping in a gully.
Moser was initially treated by Life Care Ambulance at the scene and then taken to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.
