BRONSON – It was an early start Sunday for the Bronson Fire Department.

Chief Scott Wilber says his department was called to 1259 West Chicago Road just before 5 AM because of a fire. Crews arrived and said the blaze was contained in an exterior wall and quickly put out.

The cause of the fire was an overheated fireplace. Damage estimates are $5,000 to the home. No contents were damaged in the fire.
