GOSHEN – The man who was shot by Goshen Police following a pursuit Wednesday evening apparently lived near Lagrange at one time.
34-year-old Joshua Perry suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at Goshen Hospital.
Elkhart County Jail records indicate Perry was incarcerated Thursday for failure to return to lawful detention and resisting law enforcement.
The booking record listed 170 North County Road 100 West, Lagrange as his address. The initial news release from Goshen P-D said Perry was from Goshen.
At the end of the chase an incident occurred that prompted the officer to fire his duty weapon. A news release did not describe what happened in that moment.
The officer’s name is being withheld.
