Corunna man injured in fiery cash

CORUNNA – An early morning crash on Sunday sent a man to the hospital.

The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department responded at 1:30 a.m. to a report of a single vehicle crash with the vehicle was reportedly on fire.

Reports indicate that 20-year-old Tyicus Meyer of Corunna was traveling west on County Road 38 when he crossed the center line and ran off the south side of the road for an unknown reason.

Police say he hit a tree causing heavy damage to the front end of his Jeep which then caught fire.

Meyer was located near the vehicle complaining of extreme back pain. He was transported to the hospital with internal injuries according to the report. His condition was not available.
