RICHMOND – Wayne County Coroner Ron Stevens confirmed the identity of a teen who died in last week’s school shooting.

Indiana State Police confirmed 42-year-old Mary York – the teen’s mother – made the call to 9-1-1 that alerted police to the potential of violence at the school. The actual 9-1-1 audio recording is evidence in an ongoing investigation and was not released.

Angela Britto attended Sunday's vigil with her daughter. She says she came to to show support for the boy's mother. Britto said she doesn't know if she could do the same thing as York and the community owes her a debt of gratitude.
