Monday, December 10, 2018

ALBION – Jury selection began Monday in the murder trial of Michael Johnson of Fort Wayne.

The 36-year-old Johnson is charged with the shooting deaths of 30-year-old Justin Adams and 39-year-old Amanda Feldstein of Ligonier on March 5th at Riverside Villa apartment complex.

Johnson faces two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder. He’s also had the charges enhanced to habitual criminal status.

Johnson along with Tiffany Cox of Kendallville and Kyra Frost of Roanoke allegedly went to the Ligonier location that night under the guise of completing a drug deal. But the real aim was allegedly to steal a $10-thousand dollar Prada designer purse from the apartment.

The trial in Noble Superior Court 1 is scheduled to last through Friday.
