Man with history in LaGrange Co. a person of interest in death

WINCHESTER – A man with ties to LaGrange County is a person of interest in a Winchester death investigation.

The body of 61-year-old David Brumley was found in his home November 3rd. A cause of death is undetermined.

The Muncie Star Press reports police are looking for 59-year-old Monty Joseph Cook of Randolph County. They believe Cook had Brumley’s 2006 Ford Mustang GT which turned up in Marion, Arkansas.

Cook has worked as a driver delivering RV’s and is the target of two arrest warrants.

In 2005 Cook was convicted of arson, burglary and conspiracy to commit criminal confinement in LaGrange County.

Police consider him dangerous and say citizens should not approach him. Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call 9-1-1 of State Police at the Pendleton Post.
