HOWE – A traffic stop on the Toll Road near Howe sent an Angola man to jail on drug charges last night.

43-year-old Donnie Henderson was incarcerated in the Lagrange County Jail to face preliminary felony charges for dealing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, and maintaining a common nuisance. He also faces misdemeanor charges for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and operating a motor vehicle without financial responsibility.

Trooper Zarek Finely stopped the 1992 Ford Ranger on westbound I-80 near the 120.5 mile marker, for a traffic infraction. The Ford was allegedly driven by Henderson. While Finely was speaking to Henderson he spotted indicators of criminal activity.

During a search of the truck, officers allegedly found 25 grams of methamphetamine, marijuana, digital scales, and other drug paraphernalia. Further investigation revealed that Henderson was allegedly driving with a suspended license and no insurance.
