KENDALLVILLE – A Noble County man died in a single vehicle crash Thursday evening.

State Police say a black 2015 Jeep was westbound on County Road 415 North just east of 1000 East and struck a tree.

The driver was the only occupant and was not wearing a seat belt. He died at the scene. His name has not yet been released.

Weather was not thought to be a factor and toxicology results are pending.

The crash happened at 6:50 p-m and 415 North was closed until 10:30.

Police from Noble County, Albion, Kendallville and Avilla assisted State police at the scene.
