HOWE – Two women traveling with a juvenile runaway were arrested late Monday night by Trooper Zarek Finley on multiple charges and arrest warrants.

Finley got behind a vehicle exiting at the Howe Plaza and conducted a check of the license plate to find it did not belong to the vehicle it was displayed on.

Finley stopped the vehicle and found two adult women, one adult man and one juvenile female when he smelled what he believed to be an odor of marijuana coming from the passenger compartment. The driver gave two pieces of identification, one each from Missouri and Minnesota for two different people.

The driver was later identified as 41 year old Tasha Lynn Schleicher of Jameson, Missouri. An undetermined amount of marijuana and hash oil was located in the vehicle as well.

The other adult female, 21 year old Angel Yolanda Sheppard from Gary, Indiana also provided false identification. Sheppard was wanted out of Lake County for armed robbery, and Schleicher was wanted on multiple warrants from Idaho, Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska and Oregon. Both women were incarcerated in the LaGrange County Jail.

The juvenile, a 17 year old family member of Schleicher’s was found to have been currently listed as a runaway in Minnesota. She was taken to the Allen County Juvenile Justice Center to await transportation back to Minnesota.
