Two hurt in crash near Millersburg

MILLERSBURG – Two people were injured when a car and and SUV collided near Millersburg Friday afternoon.

Elkhart County police say a car driven by 69-year-old Amos Whetstone of Louisville, Kentucky was southbound on County Road 43 stopped for the stop sign at County Road 40 and then proceeded into the intersection where it was struck by the SUV.

Whetstone suffered a possible broken arm, back pain and a cut to the knee. His passenger – 91-year-old Ervin Whetstone of Tippecanoe – suffered head and chest pain. Both were taken to Goshen Hospital for treatment.

25-year-old Eric Miller of Millersburg was driving the SUV and was not hurt.
